This quad came to me in a strange way. My buddy bought it from 05 450R (Eric) Then my buddy lost interest and I bought all that he had for 1K. I sold a few parts to pay off the money I used to buy it. Now I'm building my Low budget LSR No LINK. I was going to do a stock 88 color scheme but after my dealings with kjason thinking about going with more of a wild colro scheme. Like this one I built a few years ago.
The frame only had one serious repair down by the foot peg. The other crappy welds were from some jack ass trying to weld gussets over the stock mounts. I hated the look so I had my friend hack them all off and make new for me. Heres some before anf after pics.
This project will probably take place over the next few months as I'm going to pick up a wrecked RZR Friday and I'm sure alot of attention will go to it.
Now heres what she looks like as I try and decide what color to make her!

I definitely like that color scheme of the previous build.
Also isn't it funny how to some people a bubble-gum weld is ok, but to us its just unacceptable. The bike could have everything perfect but if it had crappy repairs that showed it would ruin it for me.
Anyway keep up the good work.

Nice start, I agree with Deuce that there's nothing worse than sloppy looking welding. Allot of people don't take the time to prep it properly or know what their doing, glad to see your fixing the mistakes before putting allot of time and effort into it.

Your repairs look stronger than the frame itself. Been trying to decide what to do with my LSR frame. I've always wanted to build one, but my priorities are changing. Nice looking welds btw.

Looks good. You would never be able to not look directly at those welds if you didn't address them now. Your first colorway looked good and your pals may see it as being you.
