Thanks for advice. The big difference between us is that you have a 310 and my bike still has the stock 250. I have heard the 310 upgrade is like having a completely different bike in comparison to the stock 250.

That is a good point. The haulers are quite a bit lighter than the Sand Stars.

I can fix your displacement problem. Mine is a 330 so would not be much help for were to jet. But I would take both sets of paddles with you. Try them both.

Great idea on taking both paddles to the dunes. I have both sets mounted on wheels. Duh, why didn't I think of that. 330cc TRX250R's seem like monsters. That said, I am thinking of keeping my motor a 250cc or maybe go to a 275cc. I have heard that once you go above 275cc it's lot more likely for motor problems to occur.

I've had no issues with any of my motors from a stock cylinder to a 431 puma.

That's good to hear! I have known a couple of guys with 330 ESR setups that had nothing but problems with their motors. From what I remember, they were always blowing up. I believe the Duncan Racing web site says that a 275cc setup is the most reliable out of all their motor increase options. I guess, it's probably like anything else. Some engines are upgraded properly and others not so much. Most of the guys I know around here (Roseburg, Oregon) are bailing wire and duck tape mechanics. They have never seen a service manual and if they had one it would probably just be used as a beer coaster!

I agree take it to Pete at hybrid compared to other builders he is more than fair on his prices

Nice motors. You build them or did someone else? Whomever did it, that's nice work. Looks like one power valve and one non-power valve. Which motor runs the best?

Before I had the puma I had a zilla and a 363 sphinx to me there's no need for a power valve for us in the Oregon dunes especially down in the tree shots.

I built all of them I like the power delivery of the old pro-x cylinder but that's all porting ,,, I talked myself out of the power valve but it shipped before I could cancel it,,,, it runs fine just don't think it was worth all the extra moving parts ,, and it has broke once already

Glad to know that bit of info. I haven't been too keen on getting a power valve in all honesty. Just another part to break.

Nice job on building the motors. Also, thanks for the power valve info. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I have not been too keen on getting one. Just more parts that can go bad.
