You are correct Hickwheeler. He has not changed the plane. He would need to raise the flag on the stem or lower it on the spindle to get rid of the bump steer. You can do a curley que between those tie rod ends and it wont change anything.
Those tie rod ends are significantly weaker than stock.
As for the comments on the 450r stuff being an upgrade, I would really want to see the racing background of the people using them. Average joes that dont push there bikes may not noticed bump steer like someone that really pushes the limits.
I guarantee if you went to any A class /Pro am/Pro rider, and cycle there suspension there will not be any bump steer. It does make a big difference on the handling of the bike if your doing anything but putting around.
