So what it comes down to is it looks like a different year cr250r ignition you have then we are all used to.  I apologize and wish you luck on the sale. If the bottom end has been converted for the Polaris cylinder then converting it back to a 250r top end is not possible. Please pull the cylinder and get pics of the bottom end stud location.

Sounds like a plan. I'll pull it this weekend and get some pics. Again, I appreciate the guidance and feedback.

I think you have a 2001 cr250 ignition, just missing the coil which you can buy for 25$ on eBay.

Looks same size as mine, and identical harness, just missing the coil.

Good luck with the sale, you probably better still sticking to the 600$ range, especially since little is known about the engine.

My guess is that's an early 2000's cr125 cdi just going by the plug.

Wes is right, I was thinking $700. $450 for bottom end and $250 for ignition.

May be better off buying a coil, testing the ignition out and selling it separate...

CR ignition does not use a stock flywheel as in the picture. Don't know what you have but I doubt you get $500 for it.

Are you sure thats not a CR flywheel???

Yes Wayne, it is a CR flywheel. Just a little rusty. I was not thinking right. Your pic shows it is identical.

It looks like there's an adapter plate in there, can't really see it in that pic though. I'll snap a few more pics from different angles tomorrow.

If I can come up with some extra cash I may be interested in the cylinder if you want to separate.

If I part it, you have dibs on the cylinder.

A few more details. Found Vforce reeds, Cylinder walls and piston look good. Little side to side movement in rod. Zero up and down movement. I'm not sure how they went about this build but I don't think the studs were moved. An ESR cylinder fits onto this bottom end. It will not seat all the way but that is because of the length of the studs. The holes do line up though. I'll put some pics up in just a bit.

The holes in the cylinder have been welded up and then re drilled to match the Honda cylinder pattern.  Which means you can drop any Honda cylinder on it you want if it comes to that.

Do you have any way to measure the stroke?  Curious if its stock stroke or not.
