Alright guys time to start planning the activities a bit more.  Let's start with a fun one - the barrel race.

Is this how we envision it?  And are those distances good?

We can do a "left start" - has 2 right turns in it lol.  Are there other layouts?  I've never done one and can't say I was sober enough at any rodeos to know what way they were going.

Haha no problemo! I have several orange traffic cones and a 100' tape measure that I can bring.

I'll bring my 200' tape because it looks like your 100' tape will be 5' too short.

Haha.  Let's talk - Show n Shine - do we want to do one?  Could do a couple categories and let the crowd vote with stickers - Best in Show, Most Unique, Best Build, Best OEM?

Not to be a party pooper or anything else but why bother with a tape or anything else, when you can just walk it out. It's not like there is any record over a fixed course, or time or anything else. Once it's set up, it's not moving, everyone will run the same course, the same afternoon. It's great to overthink it, but isn't it just for fun, you could run a cone or stick or even a quad sitting in place for the corner, just about anything would work. Most "R"s won't turn tight enough to bother a cone, or much of anything else.

Yeah either or will work fine.

Why do anything half assed? If it's worth doing....it's worth doing right!

We're not over thinking anything, we're joking with each other about measuring distances & who has the longest measuring tape. I actually win unless someone else here has a measuring wheel. Mine clicks off 1' increments & has a 5 digit readout so I can measure for miles & miles. I might have to find a paddle tire for it to use it on the sand.

Now just have to find the right place for it - probably straight out of camp between some of the dunes
