Clutch cable rod needle bearing discontinued???

Assembling my engine I noticed some needles missing out of the bearing where the clutch cable rod goes down into the case.  Looking at a microfiche it shows a 10x17x10 needle that is discontinued.  Now I think I have a lead on a bearing company that has produced this bearing but looking at the fiche it also shows another part under the needle bearing and calling that a bearing.  The fiche doesnt make sense to me as there is only one bearing on this rod correct?  on the fiche I see the rod, spring, washer(which was missing on mine)a needle bearing and another bearing.  Why does the fiche list one part as a needle(assuming needle bearing that is discontinued) and another part under that called a bearing which still is produced?? It does not say one supersedes the other also.  Im confused.

There are 2 different bearings for the clutch case lever. 2 different Honda part #'s for the 2 different bearings and yeah one of the bearings is no longer avalible from Honda.

Top needle bearing, Honda pt # (discontinued) 91002-HA2-003 (Koyo) or 91002-HA2-008 (Toyo)

Bottom needle bearing, Honda pt # (available) 91021-148-004 (Toyo)


I think Big Dog has the top needle bearing, at least I think I read that.

so there are 2 bearings on that rod or lever as your calling it?? Well that clarifies things a little.   I do have a lead on the discontinued needle bearings.  Might be a good idea for a sticky thread on discontinued parts that can be found other places.  If this bearing company still has these im going to buy a couple extras because if mine are bad... someone elses are going to be too.

They come in the K&S (Boss Bearing) kit. I believe I have each one if you need.
