Information and pictures

Ok some up close pictures and tech details on the Air Box.
#1 By decoupling the filter from the inlet tube you allow for water to shedding and since water is heaver then air and the outlet tube is set high in the box this lets the water drop to the bottom of the box where it drains out via the duck bill valve as you can see in the video.
#2 the box does use a rebuild able Outerwear  pre-filter.
#4 The box uses a K&N filter that will handle the CFM for a 430cc 2 stroke at 9700 rpm.
#5 Because the filter is from the automotive side of the industry and not the power sports side its cost is half of what we pay for the current set up.
#6 It is quick to install the box and because of its design it is also easy to move the tube connecting the box to the carb  backwards with out removing the air box so you can make quicker adjustments on the jetting with out having to fight  the carb from between the intake manifold and the filter box.
#7 As you can see in the video it is very quick to change filters which the XC guys should find a welcome change.
You thought i forgot #3?
Having a long running account with AutoDesk gives me the ability to use both Fusion 360 and a number of other programs including CFD which over the years has become a good tool for me. This makes its  less difficult to design parts with air flow as the prime objective. Needless to say there were many sims ran to land on the one at the mouth of the outlet tube and that is where the power was restored.
I hate taking large amounts of time to build motors that make great power only to see it drop when the current "BOXED" air filter set up are clamped to the back of the carb.
As for price right now i am shopping a few people i trust to build the different components which will then be assembled at DMR. Even as fast as my CNC is it still takes more time then i am wanting to spend on it so there is no pricing set as of this time.
Im not going to make a list for pre orders but i will keep everyone on this page updated as the info becomes available.
2 and maybe 3 for these will be running the rest of the TX4 races here in Texas to see if i need to make any chances before a production run begins.
