I have 2 330's. Both are built the same with slightly different porting. It has been a while since I have ran these pipes back to back. I have quite the large pipe collection and for the type of racing I do  (tt racing) I have found the trx5 to be the best all around pipe for me. It seems up have the smoothest power through the rpm range. On my motor setup the sparks MX seems to have a harder hit and I like it for play riding. On my sparks 265 I had back in the day the sparks pipe was the perfect match!

I just mounted my sparks on my 350 pro x yesterday, sounds great but i havent rode it yet. I was using a LRD adj and swear by it for woods but to me it isnt agressive enough else where. I could of got a new trx5 for what i paid for the sparks but i can get a new trx5 anytime.

I havent ran the MX sparks but I have the TT sparks. In my honest opinion, I think it is a better pipe all around than the trx5. I have ran the 5 and it seemed like it didnt have the punch that the TT did. The sparks pulled better down low and all the way to the top. Plus I think the sparks sounds ten times better :)

The Sparks MX is a low-midrange pipe, not a ton of top end. Pulls good down low and in the midrange, but you will find yourself shifting quick. The ESR TRX5 is labeled an all around pipe, but it is better in the midrange-top end than it is down low.

On a stock jug with no porting or head work the sparks mx was not a lowend pipe (when I think of lowend I compare them all to the trx6).  It was hard hitting right in the middle.  The trx 5 has similar mid range but pulled harder up top from 3/4 throttle to wide open.  Sparks mx was an ok pipe but could have just been my setup that was not ideal for the pipe.

You need to try one. Do you have any friends close by with one that you could test?

I will say one thing. The TRX5 is bound to be better at assembly and disassembly versus the sparks mx. My sparks is a pain to get in and out of the frame with the two front pieces. My fmf fatty was really easy and the TRX5 is very similar to it.

my sparks mx never fit my 86 frame very well.  It fit the 87 just fine though.  Rode both with ported pro-x cylinders and I have to give the nod to the trx5.  It just pulled harder to me.  Plus still being available makes it a cheaper pipe when they come up for sale used.
