Hey guys, got a couple frame questions. Firstly, I think my frame is twisted, the bike seems to lean to one side (look at control arms). So my questions would be: 1) Are there any published frame demensions that i could use to figure out if it is? 2) How likely is it that this can be fixed? 3) Does anyone know of any shops that can do this for a reasonable price? Thanks  - Charlie

Sometimes its easiet to see if you stand the quad up on the rear grabbar.
But it kinda does look bent to the drivers side...

Pull your fron shocks first. Take eye to eye measurments between the to and make sure they are not blown. Looking at the arms between both sides, and at the top of the shock springs,it looks like the right side(in pic),or better put,the left side as your sitting on it,apears to be compressed more. If thats not the case,Id advise laying the frame on flat ground and start taking measurements side to side at suspension mounting point. Obviously at the very least the tires and all shocks need to be removed, too many variable in tire diameter for accurate measurements

Not sure where you're located, but there's a guy out here in CA that uses a jig to check for straightness on frames.  He mostly does motorcycles, but I've had him check my R frame and straighten out an axle before.  He's not cheap though, it's $200 just to inspect a frame, not counting whatever the repair costs are.  Place is called Dr. John's MFS.

Agreed stand it up on the grab bar and get a tape measure out.

Post more pics, ali can really see is the left front shock is compressed more than the right side. Something is out of wack somewhere and its causing the left side to press more on the shock. Take the plastic off and so on and take some more pics, use you foot pegs as a base point for all measuring and so on. And get a angle finder and a magnet mini level and check all with it sitting flat on the concrete.

Get the a-arms and swinger off. Place the frame on a flat level steel or aluminum table (glass is flattest but iffy depending on weight) start measuring. I cant see your pic very well but it could be something as simple as a bent shock rod. I had ONE (stock) chassis twist on me in the past. That was due to a tornado hurling it 300 yards into a tree top. Quad was actually stuck in a tree top!! My buddy at the body shop pulled her back into alignment. Only took one pull. the chassis seemed to remember its original shape rather easy.

Looks bent........... looking front to back the bars are at an angle in relation to the rest of the bike, assuming the stem is straight that would put the steering stem bearing out of alignment. I had a frame similar to this once, you need to check the caster on the thing, it had one side that was out and made the thing super twitchy at high speed because it had no caster angle.
