Can we please have the "dirty words" auto-censor disabled. I suggest this on the grounds that curse words don't technically hurt people, we are all adults here and science has shown that "cuss words" have no negative effects on the personality or innocence of children.

Yes that may be true. But the children that do come on here don't need to see it. Parents will forbid the child growing up to learn about the 250r if we don't keep the forum clean.

how about a adult password'ed section for that stuff we can pm the password to people that want to participate

Swearing on a keyboard and swearing to someones face are two different things. Demeanor can be interpreted wrong when you are not looking someone in the face or hearing their tone.

Swearing will keep parents from letting their young children get on this forum to learn about the 250R. Ok.... Does anyone else have a better reason for censoring the "dirty words" ?

Well fighting with someone is one thing. We're not talkin bout that. I want to be able to pepper my posts with dirty curse word adjectives when I see fit to use one. Who's with me ?

Also, I can fool the shiity censorship software anyways. Come on its un-American to censor us !!! LOL

I was just quoting complaints from the other site. It is understood we do not all talk the same. I use the F word all the time and I don't even realize it. But when I come on here I want to work with level headed people that don't come on here to spew out words they think are funny. Sorry

I know you had the same request from the last 2 sites I read your posts.

We have that on another site,except its based on a 500 post count,and no password. A password would be a must I believe,there was also a "no full nudity rule" also..lol

Aw heck that's a real easy problem to solve, you personally just don't use those "naughty words" and others can choose for themselves.

I know I complained about the censorship at 250R.net but I don't recall biitchin' about it at ATVRiders. I'd NEVER get ATVRiders to consider changing their policy.

The whole concept of forbidden "dirty words" has always blown my mind.... I don't think I'll ever understand why they cause freak people out. Adults on the internet no less. I've never met an adult who doesn't swear a little.

I'd like to see a more relaxed forum and my opposition would like to see a more tightly moderated forum.

Well we're both pitchin' our side of the argument and you are on the side of censoring the "wicked words". But... you didn't explain why. Could you explain your reasoning for us ?
