Front Brakes
« on: February 03, 2020, 05:25:26 PM »
I just pick up 88 and had a 86 for 34 years. I have noticed the 88 roll so much easier then the 86. I rebuilt the front and rear brakes  3 years ago. But I only ride 5 times a year. So my question is do you think the pistons sticking or because it both front and rear brakes are grabbing or master cylinder need rebuilding.
I looked for new pistons and seals but can't find a piston.
I guess I need to ride more.

I would bet the pins that the calipers slide on, are stuck. Very common and overlooked alot.

Rocky Mountain has new pins if you find yours to be in bad shape. The front brakes on my son's R were sticking until I changed the front brake lines. The oem rubber must have been collapsed.

I replaced the brake line about 8 years ago with braided lines.
