It worked for me last year when I was in a pinch. My clutch started slipping when heated up and I didnt have the time to get a new one before my next race. Springs and fibers were at their limit. I replaced one 250r plate with a 400ex plate, scuffed up the plates and put the washers on springs and no slipage.

You are forgot to add about scuffing up the steel plates .

This is not my bike but I have a pipe exactly like it , just not chrome. I was wondering who made it? I seen an older shearer that looked similar . The pipe is pretty small in diameter for an oof.

Lounge / what did you do to your R today?

Not today but yesterday I cleaned up a stock cylinder that will be getting bored on monday along with getting my shocks recharged. I also started putting my front end back together, went with stock red frame and gold arms, then i took the 4stroke "R" for a good ride but ripped off my rear skidplate!

My spare motor would look great mounted in one of those and displayed in my house!!

Just got done ripping my 86 down to redo. I originally was just going to fix a crack in the frame and replace the stem bearing but after checking stuf over , the rear shock was leaking, bottom out bumper junk, and carrier bearings are shot. Took the motor out to fix the crack and found the bolts were loose and that caused two more cracks and wobbled out holes. I also took the topend off to do a new piston. Then the damn pivot bolt was stuck! Pb blaster saved me there.

I can tell they are pretty rare since the only one I've ever seen in person was the one on my dads bike. He loved his and I'm just wanting it to give him back the bike he had to sell. Times were tough and he needed the money.

But when you say it went for a lot, how much is "a lot"?
Like over 200 for used and way more for ones still in package.Have any pics of your dads old quad?

I hope to find out if we are going on our Harley trip within a week.  If we are not I am going to have to come over.  Just trying to see which is better to drive around the bottom or top or take the boat across to get there.  Anyone know what the boat ride across is all about?
I have taken the ferry accross to go to silverlake many times, but has gotten more and more expensive.Id call and ask if i were you. Night rates are cheaper and trailer rates go by footage from tongue to back. Putting it in the back of the truck is definetly cheaper. I think the next time i go im just going to drive around. The ferry ride is 4 hours but you have to get there like an hour early and then wait for unload then drive to silverlake. So all and all you save maybe an hour or so with the boat. The boat ride is alot more relaxing than driving though!!!!

I have a 86 frame with a 88-89 stock swingarm and want to put in a nice factory type mount (like the 88-89 frame)in. Do you make anything like this or can you? I did see it would be easier to just make a small mount to go from the bottom holes to the linkage mount but figure honda put it on the one on top for a reason. Thanks

In regards to the dowl removal. I sprayed some penetrating oil in there and lightly tapped them down and out with a deepwell socket. I dont remember the size but it worked sweet.
