Where should I send cylinder to be resleeved I popped the top end off a motor I bought and noticed it had a crack. Or should I get send it and get it nikasiled. Would like to know who ported or built the motor the person I bought it from said a known builder In South Carolina. Has a really small spacer plate and nice looking porting would like to get it redone by the same builder.

Where is the crack?  Plating will not fix a crack in aluminum or iron sleeve.

Is it Cracked ? Or Scored ? What is the bore size ? (Or what is the number on the top of the Piston) Maybe you can simply have it bored to the next over-size and Keep Ridin' :) That Spacer plate could mean a couple things....Might be a YZ Piston set-up....or a Stroker Crank....Take a pic of the Pistong for us....Also what code is on the beam of the Connecting rod..... :)

It's cracked, I miced the piston and it's measured more than 68 so probaly bored to 68.5. The sleeve says 85 and the rod says ha2 6. Has a small spacer and normal head gasket and some kinda thin gasket.

Lets see the PISTON :) I bet it's a YZ250 Piston.....If not you're gonna need to measure the STROKE...take the rings off the piston......place the cylinder back on....bolt it down....and rotate the crank till the piston is at Bottom Dead Center.....then measure with a vernier how far down the cylinder the Piston is......then rotate the crank till the piston is at top dead center....measure the piston depth from the top of the cylinder. (if it's flush....then your first measurement is the stroke) Now subtract the first measurement from the second measurement ... :)
