Nice to see all these 2-Strokes popping up all over the world....too bad the Manufacturers wouldn't take notice and produce some.

I wonder if the 250Rotax was this one from DGS @ ATVriders ??? I heard that the guy who built the one from the link above had passed away :(

I can't believe CAN-AM didn't release an E-TECH 2-Stroke version of their DS-450 .....It sure would have boosted sales of their Performance Quads. :)

Yep! that's the one....from South Africa. I read a facebook post that a Shaun Ghunter built one of these hybrids and sadly passed away.....it is now owned by Ac Hoffman.....Maybe he has posted some Videos of this bad boy in action! :)

they are fun to build.  too bad the factory rarely builds what we would like;  with the exception of the trx250r.

I read that story and it crushed me. I followed this beauty from the beginning and then I heard nothing. Looked into it and he passed.

On a lighter note....I sent an email to BRP about how the DS was supposed to have a 2 stroke engine and at the last minute it was changed to a 4 stroke. I told them I had confirmation from one of the test riders and how they loved it but it got scratched because of the kool aid drinkers. He never replied. I sent him those pics and he said..."Where did you get those!?" "Who gave them to you!?" I just replied...build what we want, a 2 stroke Etec DS race quad. He replied.....Never gonna happen!

It was fun while it lasted.
