Ive had some people tell me that eliminating the airbox is not a good idea. Obviously it depends on where you ride but in my situation and I am sure others we would like the best of both worlds. Being able to take a ride out in the woods and not worry about a small puddle here or there or a slow small creek crossing with having no airbox would be nice. Im trying to think of some sort of a lightwieght, nice looking gaurd of some sort that obviously would not restrict any air and keep mainly splash up from the rear tires ect. from hitting the pre-filter. Maybe have it mounted like a gaurd on a grinder near the front of the filter and cone around it 3/4 of the way or something. I know that there must be a design that would be beneficial to what Im trying to accomplish. Im not trying to make it so you can just baja through the deep mudpits, water but still would like to have no airbox but yet be more protected. Any thoughts guys would be appreciated.
