Overflow bottle options?

Ok I'm building an Arens framed R and does not seem to have the stock style overflow bottle mounts, I know you can get ones to fit on the rad shroud but I don't want that because I don't want to put holes in my carbon fiber shrouds. Question is, is there any other option? Can I get away with not running one?

You can mount a 450r rezzy bottle up front like this, bolts to a small bracket and the to the upper right rad mount. If your interested I can get better pics tonite and Im also selling mine if you want it

Vroomy Id only ask $15 plus shipping. I will get some better pics for you guys today,I took it off the hybrid to do a Predator bottle. It tucks up there nicely and there should still be plenty of room for the upper radiator house since its on the right side of the stem.

Or you can also use a Polaris overflow bottle from a snowmobile.

I didnt bolt it up,just set it in there for mock up pics. The bracket would bolt behind the stock upper radiator mount.

Seems to me that you would want the bottle mounted with both mounting holes to secure in place. I have broken one of the mounting tabs on the stock overflow bottle more than once.

And I would agree with you Puma,2 mounts would be better than one. In my Houser it fit snug and was resting on a crossbar on the frame. So Puma got me thinking,to see if it was possible to use the upper mount in some way. I went ahead and mocked it up in my oem 86' chassis with stem, radiator and gas tank. It doesnt fit as easily in the stock frame, there is interference with the gas tank and the lower cross bar behind/below the stem mount, putting the fill in an odd place. Im sure it could still be made to work with a different bracket but it doesnt look like the upper mount on the rezzy could easily be used, only spot would be to the front gas tank mount on the frame but that causes tank clearance issues. All in all it could be made to work but Im sure there is a better solution out there, however on a Houser Crf it would work good..lol

Yeah its looks good on your frame. I am just interested in finding a coolant reservoir that can be purchased relatively cheap and mounted in a good location on the stock R. I believe this is what the OP is looking for. I have seen the ones mounted to the radiator shroud but am not liking that mounting location. Thanks for the pics and help. I am hoping to find a easy solution to the on going discontinuing of Honda parts we can still get. A couple of simple brackets should only be $5 to make.

No problem,I always like the Polaris Predator rezzy mounted on the shrouds but like to OP said,I wouldnt want to drill through CF shrouds. And on the way your thinking Puma,a cleaner, more hidden rezzy would be a nice solution, especially something from another quad. There has to be a solution for this, something small enough to be hidden in the airbox maybe? I will take a look and some other tanks in ebay from different quads.

Any billet options?  They would need some sight tube or level status I'd think. If aftermarket mounts were made for a 450 res I'd be in. Regretting taking my overflow off now $$ :(.

Yeah, my thoughts were that resi clamped to the frame instead at a different location.
