Some cylinders from way back
«

November 06, 2013, 02:35:45 AM »
I uncovered some old cylinders the other day
Etched in under front left cyl
Etched under front middle cyl
Etched under front right cyl. It's a chrome bore 250cc
I'm not looking to sell anything, before anyone gets any ideas... Thanks

Anyone looking for a great builder I highly recommend the following.
For CP products dealers I would recommend:
Arlan at LED(site sponsor), Pete Schemberger at Hybrid Engineering, Mat Shearer at Shearer Custom Pipes, Dennis Packard at Packard Racing, and Nate McCoy of McCoys Peformance.
Other great builders I also would recommend: Neil Prichard, Jerry Hall, Bubba Ramsey and James Dodge.

i wonder why honda (or kawasaki or yamaha or suzuki) never really did much with the case reed design on the 250. honda did take a shot at it in '02 but threw in the towel '07. suzuki took a crack at it also for a very brief time. something even stranger is prior to hondas case reed attempt they were fiddling with tripple exh ports for a few years then immediatly went back to a bridge with the case reed. never could make up their mind i guess

They went all in with the case reed design in '02 and could never get it right. Then they ditched the 2-stroke and went all in on the 450.
Maybe after some R&D they could have gotten that case reed design to work. We'll never know cuz o dem dang 4-strokes

I think it was around 1990 the Cr125 Hondas had converging squish clearances ( Piston to head clearance was closer at the squish ID than at the squish at the OD).
