Danhung, this is sparked by your comment in the swingarm wanted thread. I didn't want to highjack that thread. For a mx quad, which one comes out on top? Whether it be geometry, strength, parts availability, or what.... I know Danhung has had both. I'd like to start collecting parts for a narrow front, +4, maybe cr500 link.

Both are good. Personally I'd rather have the the LOBO cuz it's more rare(but would be just as happy with a Laeger), but I'm pretty sure parts for it are harder to find, while you can still get Laeger stuff. Neither are cheap LOL. I'd ask Dan and a few others as they have experience with both. It's not that either are out of my price range, but I have to many toys, enjoy them all and would rather keep them all than build just one ultimate toy. Just added a new toy to the collection on thurs, a Suzuki TL1000R v twin sportbike(red white and blue) which is my favorite color scheme. Sorry if I seemed to hijack your thread LOL.

I would not give up my lobo for nothing. Granted I have never ridden a laeger, but nothing I have rode handles like my lobo. It's smooth takes anything you throw at it and from my experience and everyone I have talked to that has or had one they are built like a tank. As far as parts haven't had any issues roll still carries everything except frame and arms I believe. I'll admit a arms parts are quite expensive from them. But then again I believe the t pin stuff is as well. Dan did hit it on the head when he said they have some issues with fitment of some stuff. Especially the intake IMO it is a nightmare. I plan to make my own airbox airboot at some point. An eliminator kit solves this but I like my airbox. As far as shock on mine I can get it off with subframe on but it's tight. The radiator is a very tight fit on them pretty much can't take in or out with stem in. I have talked to Doug roll a couple times on these about some issues and he more or less hinted at the fact he built them for one thing to handle as best he could and didn't worry much about some of the issues with working on them and the airbox.

I have a Laeger/CRF450 cr500 linked Protrax and absolutely love it for MX. Like Dan says, when you sit on one you definitely feel like you're "in" it and not on top of it. This is especially true with when compared to a YFZ. In general the 250r geometry IMO is built the best for MX and the Protrax makes for quicker and effortless turning. I've never had a Lobo, but other than trying to work and tune your bike for the track, I'd imagine you can't go wrong with anything that is has a 250r Geo coupled with the smooth power and of the CRF motor.

One other consideration to make when it comes down to hybrids on the track would be a Walsh/'04 YZ. I've done a ton of research and have a friend that has one and loves it. He's probably on this board but haven't found out yet. The powerband along with the 4 speed tranny on that YZ motor ccoupled with the well thought out Walsh frame is supposed to be a solid bike for the track.Plus Walsh, IMO has some of the best customer service in the industry and still makes parts for all their hybrids.

Yeah I can see the benefit - I was quoted at $300 per shock for just the PRS when the fronts go in for rebuild - not sure where I'll end up on them since I can't find too many before/after type reviews.

PRS is amazing... I have it on the rear of my 250R and the front of my Can AM. Wont fit under the rear of my Can AM and i havent upgraded the R's fronts to PRS... maybe this winter.

I ordered a set of front shocks last week from them and,
micah told me that their no longer offering the PRS in the front shocks

Thanks for feedback Burns. Any issues from having it just on the rear and not the fronts?

Is it that much more plush during casual riding since due to a softer main spring?

Just depends on what your current setup is like. Its all what you compare it to. If you have the money and ride hard, its worth it. If you just ride around and dont do major jumps where you would need it, then i wouldnt mess with it. Its geared more towards the extreme end of the spectrum in my opinion.

^^This^^. Even a set of Axis set up to you will perfer outstanding. I had a set of Axis Titaniums set up for me that rode amazing,not quit as good a the Axis X-Links I have now with Prs,but they were super plush! Just talk to Micah(sp?),everybody seems to like him,or Andy at Maul Tech Atv. Andy does a great job of explaining everything in detail for better understanding of how a certain setup will work best for YOU! Good luck!
