Hi ya'll, Im Jim Im 47, live in Santa Maria which is 20 min south of Pismo. I'm not new to 250Rs had a 85 n pristine 86 ATC before, but got my first fourtrax couple weeks ago. Picked up this 86 TRX off craiglist, thinking I could slap a bore n piston in it before the 4th n make a couple of bucks.....
Guess I only see these car shows where it works out to flip stuff...:ambivalence: pull head, wow! this piston is looooooose... pull jug... daaaaam sleeve cracked:mad:. So I start lurkin on all the TRX fourms I can find, Im on lotsa fourms, some ya better not just ask a question till ya read up.
So I hit the dot net site first, start at old threads n read towards new ones. Learnin lots, i have a pretty good BS meter, so readin peoples replys give me a good idea who's real or not. Right away I see how Carlos replys to EVERY theread.... but he seems to know stuff (just a lil confrontational) Neil, deff worth listenin to, Pumashine, saw lotsa time he offered up parts cheap or free to help a guy out... Ok im putting together my who's cool and listen to list. Then it seems all hell breaks loose... ban hammer is flyin....I dont know what it all about...Im just a lurker.
Find the EX site read sumore...get a idea whats goin on over there. hear talk of the "new" site, I guessin this is it??? Sooo here I sit today, I still will lurk around n keep my head down (dont need it bit off) even ******bags may have knowledge useful (just dont doubt them...LOL) Im always down to help. so if I can I will try. My daughter just read this and did the face palm, "Dad did you go to school?' So sorry for bad grammer n puctuation, Im blue coller worker, so I hope at least ya can get what im tryin to say. Sorry this sooooo long, just wanted to let ya'll know where im comin from.
