The bike I bought came with one. Always thought they were cool looking but I've heard they don't seal that well and it looks way restrictive. I've recently got my bike running.. runs pretty well but I have to say my pilot seems more lean then it should but the bike says it wants to go leaner. Curious if its the box or something else. Motor is cookie trx9 310 all fresh bottom up.Has just some cycles and a couple passes starts first kick runs out pretty well. Not really planning on keeping the setup but wanted to run it for now, and although it starts, idles, and runs ok I've tuned many and something just seems rich on pilot doesn't have the same response to the screw adjustment I've had in the past. Just not quite as crisp current is
39pwk reg vent not quad
42 pilot may not seem crazy lean but wants to be more lean which worries me

If its the all plastic one that breathes from the bottom and uses a round k&n inside and foam pieces on the bottom I believe that LSR called it the proflow.  They made them for maybe a few years or so.  they were sold as separate units and were included in what I believe LSR used to call the racers  kit/package  - that was basically a full LSR chassis (all of the parts they made discounted when purchased at once to build a quad). I have always had problems for xc keeping them dry but outerwear used to make a water repellant outerwear for them.  I never found anything to work well for wet  xc but a stock box. For MX or other applications the box was fine.  I have one on a bike now that is mx set up and it's fine.  To say that the pilot was different that others I forget what is even in there now as the bike does not see regular use.  I would assume it could be slightly different than other boxes by its nature of breathing from the under side through 2 filters and having no snorkel and no open top unless you modified it. Also the way that the air enters the box it goes inside the round filter then out through the round filter  to the carb if that makes sense.  Good luck with it.

That red and silver bike had an aluminum one that was chromed. Only one I've ever seen or had my hands on.  Thought I had some pictures of it up close somewhere

I never noticed these replys but thanks for the input. I have cured my issue with a leaner diameter needle. The lsr box is not too bad now that I have modified it to seal better and added to its filtration. May not be the best flow, but its tuned well and I don't think its a huge seat of the pants loss for my riding. I do appreciate the fit, as it works perfect with the chassis.I would believe the bike I have could have been a full lsr roller right from the start, because it is all lsr and nothing they make is missing ,

That's a sweet one Andy I knew exactly which one you were talking about. That was a nice bike. It must have been one of the first.
