High Idle
« on: February 03, 2014, 06:55:25 PM »
I just replaced my stator and coil and now I can't get it to idle down.
It ran fine before the stator went out.  I have an 85 motor with a 39mm PWK.  I have the idle screw all the way in and it still idles way high.
Any suggestions?

Stator side seal out and now the cover is off or not sealed up as well as before?

Got it fixed.
Apparently I had weak spark and when i replaced the stator and coil,  I have good spark.
I couldn't figure why it was fine before the stator went out it ran fine and after it had a high idle. I adjusted the idle screw but not enough.  I had to screw it way out from where it was before.

Just trying use my experience (or lack of) to help somebody else.
