someone on the other site I believe is looking for this hood. I'm just wondering if its rare and worth anything before I let it go. It's a Maier and I can't say I have seen another one. I've only been into the R for the last 5 years and still don't know some of the old school stuff. Just like when I was running around on Westcoast hubs, then stumbled across they were rare.

I don't think any aftermarket plastic in that shape could be worth anything. Looks homemade for sure. Interesting but why would anyone want it?

Looks like a old maier lt250 style hood for 250rs

Old maier. I remember that style being made for blaster's and lt250r's but not for the TRX

I had one of those in the summer of 1989. Couldn't wait to tear off that headlight front piece and look more like the "racers". It was a Maier but it was white. Ugly as hell but made me look faster and also got rid of about a half pound. Swear I was faster with it!!!!

yes they were sold for 250r's way back when. I don't believe it would be worth too much being that it is not required for an oem rebuild or any famous racer replica rebuild. I had a solid front no screen white one simular to that for a bit on a 86. It looked 89ish.
