Restoring Tractors

Anybody else have any experience restoring old tractors? I'm in the middle of restoring my great grandpa's 1964 John Deere 2010 trike. Just gonna take it slow and do it little by little, we still use this tractor quite a bit so it can't be down for very long. I started with the front wheels because the one kept going flat. When I took the rims off I got quite a surprise....

Got the rims sandblasted after attempting to use an angle grinder with wire brush attachment. That was hell

Luckily we've got a New Holland TC40d and a New Holland Model 1920 SSS to keep the work flowing while this was down

Old tractor's are cool. Got any pix of the 2010? My dad has a 1965 JD 2010 crawler, we felt like we were up town when he got it because it has a hydrostat trans.:cool:

Yup post some pics.  Love some of those old 2 stroke diesels like the 8020!

I've been slowly redoing a 1968 Oliver 1650.   Still have a ways to go, but it's hard to stop using it long enough to "pretty" it up.

There's nothing like the old 2 cylinder sound gas or diesel, we have a 730 diesel high crop we still use.

I used to have a restored '51 JD A. After making the daughters learn how to drive it I sold the shed filler. Tbone it looks like some one had fluid in the fronts. That stuff really makes things rust.

They fill them with calcium for weight but it destroys the weels over time.
