New Keihen 38 A/S

I just got a new 38 Airstryker from ESR with the cable for the stoke thumb throttle.  Everything is all hooked up, getting ready to do some jetting.. I was testing out the cable, making sure it wasnt binding up and opening the slide up all of the way.  Problem I have found is that it gets really tight near the top of the carb when pushing the throttle, then it makes a popping/snapping sound like the spring inside has been squeezed off to the side and is out of alignment, not squeezing together properly.  When I take it apart it appears to be ok, but when its put into the carb it doesnt work right... Any ideas?

Thanks

Try putting it together with no spring and see if it still does it. If not you may need to trim the spring some so it doesn't bind.

I'm pretty sure I still have the packaging for the cable, I'll check and make sure that I have the right cable first, after that I will pull the spring and see how it fits together.

Thanks

Got it figured out.  Took it all apart and started to assembly it again.  Found out that the small plastic washer that goes at the bottom of the spring wasnt sitting in the right spot so that the spring didnt go all the way to the bottom of the slide.  Simple fix and a dumb mistake on my part.

Thanks

Ive also got an older 38 carb, it doesnt have that plastic washer so I didnt really pay any attention to it.  Was to excited to get it all together I guess.
