hey guys im getting my esr 350 cylimder back next week from neil. im super stoked as this will be my first big bore. now im tryna see if anybody has a setup like mine and what are you guys running for jets, gearing, tires, ect. ill have a trx5 pipe, all around porting to match, 38mm a/s carb, vforce2 reeds, airbox with no lid. i think i have 14-38 right now for gearing. any suggestions on where to start for jetting pilot and main?? also whats the power of yalls bikes feel like?? that way i can dream about something!! im hoping my arms rip off at the shoulder and are still attached to the handlebars!! woohooo

You will start by loosing the ability to kick the bike over if you don't have a cr ignition. Just a heads up after many broken kickers and boots! I was using 182 main 52 pilot and a DGH needle on the Oregon dunes

neil just gave me a huge list of jets to buy as he is on the east coast and im on the west. he didnt know where i should start. tryna see if there is any duners that had a setup like mine

I fire up my nate built 370 on a stock ignition with one or two kicks on race gas
Mat Shearer just built a 363 on a stock ignition aswill making plenty of ponies

follow tonys approx jetting, hes pry much dead on. your pilot will probably be 52, start a couple sizes bigger on the main and then work your way down. then you should be good to go! dream about the cr ign btw LOL best investment i made!

What type of riding was the motor ported for?

You'll be fine if the OEM ignition is in good condition. I haven't experienced any kickback with mine

it has all around porting for low-mid-top end.. i ride trails and wanted some top end for the dunes..

One of my ATC's is powered by an ESR 78mm (350) big bore with race fuel dome and Eddie's TRX9 porting, fed by a 38mm Airstryker and ESR reedblock. Exhaust is ESR ATC5.

My jetting was a #52 pilot, DGH needle and 190 main. I still had a little more room to lean the main a size or 2.

I have another ATC that is a stock engine, stock porting, with a PWK36, Boyesen dual stage reedblock and FMF Fatty exhaust. The difference between that ATC and the ESR powered ATC is unbelievable!

I'm currently waiting for my new 41.2mm PWK to arrive from ESR to go on the ESR 350. I can't wait to see how it runs with that carb compared to the 38!

Once you get it broke in and dialed in you won't be disappointed with your ESR350!

Tip: Make sure you re-check your cylinder and head nuts after a little bit of run time....

I have a 330 in a ATC its got alot of grunt. Dont use a Ricks electric CDI stick to OEM or the CR set up. I have a bent kicker and a ankle that still bothers me 3 years later for my foot slipping off.

^^^I second that!^^^

I made the mistake of running a Hot Shot CDI on my R. It used to kick back hard on warm engine re-starts..got much worse with the big bore, plus it broke up something fierce when trying to run high RPM, mimicking a jetting issue....

I went back to a good OEM CDI and it runs perfect now. Someday I would like to try a CR250 ignition.

I stand corrected. My jetting was 52 pilot DGH with 192 main. The 195 was a hair rich. But when your climbing the big dunes you had better be fat on the main. Back in the day I had a CT tip sheet that gave all jetting with different pipes. I believe it said to use the 192 for the big pipes
