Anyone here ever convert their tie-rod ends to heim joints? I need new tie-rods and was looking at getting some new ends while I was at it

Heims are high wear parts. Stick to the normal rod ends if possible.

I'm not worried about wear lol. Just something to make the front end even more plush/smooth.

my american star tie rods have heims, i have had them on a raptor for 5+ years of hard riding without issue. u will need to make a spacer that is somewhat shaped like an hourglass so the heim can fully pivot at the spindle, but they work great for me

Misalignment spacer is what they are. I have ordered a lot of parts from here.

Personally I use Heims (Rod ends) in all of my builds....Just makes it a lot easier such as when you get a set of used extended a-arms and they do not come with the tie rods...Since they have been using Heims in every kind of off road racing for years I think they will hold up to off road riding. Basically that is what the Pro-Trax setup is made up of is a Heim system. As a rule of thumb being that they are inexpensive I change my Heims once a year when racing a full year...  Everything you will ever need is available here...  http://www.speedwaymotors.com/?CID=1386&googleppc=yes&gclid=COja5Mypyr8CFUqVfgod9rUAYw        Also you can get any length radius rod you need from 5" on up as well as any coned spacer needed from this site. I will add pics to my post when I get a chance...
