Dunefest 2014 Pictures & Report!!

Great trip overall.  Not as busy as past years.  Really windy gave great riding on the Southern end for a few days.  Didn't get many riding pics this time.

We got in Wednesday around 11AM.  Not too busy yet.




Was pretty windy Wednesday - Friday which helped keep the sand pretty smooth.


Otherwise, the weather was great.














Guy had a bad weekend.  Heard a couple stories - UTV rolled upside down & UTV crashed head-on.  Either way, guy was incubated and Life Flight'd out.


Spent a little time at the track.


Saw [MENTION=74]traxman[/MENTION] make a couple passes on his new MiniTooth

Yup - love that spot.  And you can pull-in through the exit and put the ramp door down to the sand.  I reserved that spot the day passes became available (6+ months ago) just for that reason!  The frame is a 2 stage powder.  I think the bottom was a silver but the top coat is Prismatic Powders Psycho Brass.  It's a lime-gold color.

glad it went well, we ended up having a rough week. I lost my 310 on day 1. Plug looked good and I had made 5-6 passes in the area next to the drag strip, coolant temp was holding 180-185 area. Went to make a pass up banshee hill and never reached the top. She heat seized on me. I havent figured out what happened yet. Ended up riding the 450 for the week. Then friday my buddy's girlfriend went over the bars turning around on banshee. She managed to get a broken collar bone so we called it quits to get her home. Ill throw some photos on in a little.

I didn't realize you were down there.  It would have been great to get together.  We counted less than a dozen ATC & TRX's the whole time we were there.

I heard they expected 5,000-10,000 people to attend this year. I guess sandlake was slammed all weekend I wonder if a few peeps decided to skip dunefest & decided to go to sandlake ha.
