Should I. or run regular 94 octane...?
just put this in my 88 250r stock jetting. HP2 pre mix 32:1
plug looks good runs clean.just haven't ridden it enough to get a good plug reading.
For the few times I'm going to ride I figured I use a better fuel. Please she'd some opinions.
no mods all stock

premium is fine for a stock engine. If you only run a stock engine i would mix both 50/50 till you get rid of your torco then run premium pump gas there after

Your wasting octane if it doesn't require it. With that said I think premium is best to run these days they blend ethonal in mid and 87 octane and you hear stories about the ethonal causing problems in the carbs. More so on small engines but still it's worth the cpl bucks to upgrade to 93 IMO

I put this 110 octane in everything at my house. My son's 50 ttr50 would run on choke for 5 min before it would idol on its own. Now I don't need choke. My lawnmower would not start with 93 honda lawnmower had to pull start it 15 times to get her going. Not no more one pull.I just don't know if I am hurting my engines? It seems to be helping out and running better. For the few times I use these things a year.

No issues. As I went from the pump to race fuel, I also went to a 330cc setup. Slight jetting adjustments. Most say, changing fuel octane doesn't effect jetting too much.
But as always, take the time to check, that you are jetted properly!

in my area they blend ethanol in every grade ...I wont run any pump fuel in any of my quads, id rather waste money on fuel then my motor..ive seen to many friends spend too much time and money on ethanol related issues.
now im not saying ill run C12 in all my quads, but I wont run pump

They blend ethanol in all 3 grades of fuel here in oregon too. There are a few stations in my area that started offering non-eth super at the pump. It's around 4.60/gal but worth it. I started running it in my 91 VW GTI & saw a gain of around 5mpg which is an extra 65 miles per tank! The better mileage offsets the price & actually saves me around $4-$5 per tank. Enough for a can of chew:applouse:. A lot of small engine shops are making a killing on repairs because of the govt. mandated ethanol in fuel. Something to think about.

ethanol in every grade around here. no way to avoid it. i would check the sticker on the pump if you have any doubt, i believe it has to say if theres ethanol added or not.

around the Mass area they only are legally required to label and disclose ethanol if total exceeds 10%

here there are quite a few stations that sell non eth. 93. my uncles being 1. race fuel on the other hand is very hard to come by without driving 2 hours 1 way. ive never had any trouble due to gas but ive always built the motors for 93.

state laws may vary. if theres no sticker and you have any doubt, im sure the station owner or attendant could say whether theres ethanol or not. imo they should have to label it regardless if theres only 1%

from talking with the station owner around here i was under the impression nonethanol stuff was discontinued nationwide. i guess not. or perhaps theres a few last states holding out as long as possible for the innevitable
