That bike has been on CL for quite awhile. In the 3rd pic check out the frame just above the foot peg. Looks like a repair has been done & with that much weld on there I'd be a little concerned. There's quite a few nice 250r's on portland CL, if it was me & I had $2000 to spend I'd keep looking. Just my .02....... Here's a real nice original owner stock 87 in LaPine for $2500:

Looks like quite a bit of frame repair there. I'd tell him $1400, but that's just because I low ball Craigslisters and it works. Top dollar I'd pay on that is 1500. It is just a stock top end....
I ride PINNED! Therefore, no bdt in this household.

Agreed, paint is cheap. Hiding repairs.  Claims of new cases are just claims. $1,500 would be OK.
