That guy has some skillls. Very smooth rider. The motor sounds extremely healthy as well.  Id like to throw my leg over that bike.

Apparently this guy Devin Heimes is a Pro Rider.  I found some video of him racing against Cody Gibson.    Heres another video of him riding his R.

Your right Kyle, he is a very good rider. You'll probably see him at the nationals this year when you go. I'd like to match that speed for just one race.

God O mighty, hes got the endurance thats for sure.
Like to put him on a 370 PV stroker with around 240 lbs compression & ultra Mid Range port & a set of them Othsu Radials on the rear & see who gits sandwiched out of the hole then.

Burns, how much difference you spending, on the 4 poke over the 2 stroke, if you used both the same amount of racing. Like from start of build to finish to racing them.

I think he's asking how much to build and maintain each over the course of a season racing both the same amount.

Thats not an easy question the bikes where built at very different times.  And a lot of horse trading has been done over the years to get them there.    Honestly during the season its a wash..  Head rebuilding vs porting, meh similar pricing.  Long run the 4 stroke should cost more.   But im more consistent on my 450 than my 250R, but i think that have found some holes in my setup that i plan to fill up and make my 250R more competitive for the 2015 season as well

For 2015 i have switch to a honda 450 from a can am.  I traded basically and got a pile of shit i had to completely rebuild the entire bike.  I lost big time on the trade.  Well see how my honda 450 is compared to my can am but my bet is im faster on the honda.

That guy is really good at making it look easy.  Reminds me of my little brother though.....too bad he isn't around anymore I could show you how fast he was.  He took his stock yfz450 and put nerfbars/handlebars/tires/air filter/switch front rims around and go win in our production A classes we had.  He was the fastest on his 250r though....

I guess I should have asked it different, like engine for engine, the cost difference between the two.
Really though I already know, not directly with yours, but just in general from what I know the 4 stroke will cost more. Those 4 strokes are doing just what the MFGs designed them to do, rob the bike & ATV racers of their money because they are just easier to ride, but cost more to build & keep running.

That Can Am, if you could throw that head in the trash & bolt a 450 Honda head on it, you could get some real performance out of it. Theres some 4 poke builders wont even touch that head, its just to much trouble to deal with. Now if you could take one & weld closed the intake & then machine it back out, maybe just maybe it might could be fixed.
Oh, now Can Am does have a good SXS. If you had a Can Am SXS & a Polaris SXS, that Polaris SXS would wear the Can Am out, because you would be running the Can Am all the time from that Polaris being broke down.
