has anyoe ever used a crank from these guys i am wanting to go back to an oem crank for the 330r im going to build they have rebuilt oem cranks for $209.99 which is around the same money as a new hotrods. just wondering if anyone has experience with them thanks

What connecting rod kits will they use to rebuild your crank??

im straight out buying one of their rebuilt cranks as i dont have a usable core crank i just sent them an email asking about the rod it only says oem or better quality jap rod kit on their website. i know that the pro-x rods are good are their any other rod kits that are good?

The OEM rod kits are the best. I have not found any that are equal or better than OEM.  

Honda does not support these models anymore, so we have to use what we can get.  I have had problems with ALL of the aftermarket rod kits and crankshafts.  All of the aftermarket rod kits and crankshafts are not bad but their quality control is not good.....Meaning all of there dimensions, clearances, heat treat and metallurgy is not consistently the same on the same part number.

I have less problems with the Hot Rods and ProX rods than the Wiseco rods and cranks

thanks for the info Jerry i only came across this place when i was talking to a buddy that owns a repair shop said he had used them a few times with good luck for other cranks but he has never used 1 of their 250r cranks. i may give them a call mon. if i dont get a return email. ive used crankworks in the past with good luck but i had a good crank core to start with. if they dont use hot rods or pro-x rod kits ill probably just order another hotrods crank as the present 1 in my sons/my R seems to be doing fine.

Phil at CrankWorks is top notch. Might be worth a call to see if he has any usable cores.

hotrods and prox rods is plenty good enough for 99% of people out there. for the 1% that need something better its gonna cost ya around $300 a pop

got a reply to my email and they use pro-x rods in there 2 stroke cranks. i think i will give them a shot as soon as i can get a few more things ready. ill keep you posted on this place.

Buy a pos crank on eBay and use it as a core.

I've used several cranks from Mr. Crankshaft. Never had any issues. Vince is a good dude.
