are there any aftermarket links or links from another quad that would allow me to use a longer shock without doing modifications to my frame? just curious cause i have a really nice axis rear shock on my banshee that im going to part out and i thought it would be nice to use it on my r but its a little longer.

You might could use the factory link with an adjustable durablue dog bone and that shock, but it probably wouldn't perform worth a crap. The leverage ratio needs to be taken into account when valving a shock, and with no shock builder having experience with that exact setup, you couldn't expect it to ride very well.

It's not a problem. That's why I asked, cause I don't know. I've been battling a crappy rear shock for quite a while now. It's an Elka and I'm pretty sure it's cursed. I'm probably going to send it back to Elka and just have them figure it out. That or have this axis shortened. Idk wtf I want to do with it!

Isn't a banshee rear shock shorter like a raptor then a factory 250r?

No, he was working with Andy Maul on setting up proper calculations for the standard 250r link and several others.
Andy did finish that project(mostly), and developed a new long travel(longer shock) link that would work with a 450r swinger. Drew Cox( Maul Tech) is working on finishing up the project and bringing the parts to market.

Do looking it up a banshee is 14.75 so it's shorter.

. 88 shock should be 16 inches long.
