I have always liked the look of the black chin cowl from the first gen R's. I finally got a nice shape one and mounted it on my '88. Tools bit of work but ended up working out. I really like it for the fact that it thickens the hood section. Before from a side view was just a thin nose sticking out. Probably not for everyone but for mine I love it. What do u guys think?

Looks great! I Love it personally.
I kept mine on my 86 as one of the main pieces that differentiated mine from others. Roundeye Joe just did his spare 88 with the cowling. It turned out awesome.

I did the same to my 88 plastic on the 87 frame. Takes no extra time at all. The front fenders are much more secure that way. Looks fantastic!!!

That looks really good! Thanks for sharing, I got a set of 88 plastic for my wife's 86 & never thought about leaving the 86 nose piece on there. It definately add's a nice touch.

That looks cool.  I took mine off when I put a maier 1 piece front fender on cause I couldn't find a way to mount it up.  I also don't like how the nose kinda "sticks out" either. I saved it for when I get full fenders again.  It does make them look better

They do make the fronts a much stronger unit.
