Arens PV265 Build
« on: April 18, 2014, 09:28:49 PM »
I picked this frame up in the spring of 2013 from a guy in Kentucky.  It's a really nice Arens XC frame.  I originally built a MX bike but didn't ride it much so now I'm rebuilding as a XC bike.  I'm leaving the frame as is for now.

Here's the power plant all freshened up with a new piston and rings.  Low hour 88 bottom with a 265 PC2000 and Duncan pyramid.  I have 01 CR ignition that I'll probably use on this.

They are pretty much the same thing if you ask me.  John Arens called it a CC XC on Fbook so I went with it being that he made it.  They are all XC's if you ask me.

Very cool.  What color plastics / graphics are you going to run with the yellow frame?

Not much progress except for installing the stem and working out a deal to buy a roll standard link swingarm.  Probably gonna bite the bullet and have the frame powdered along with the swinger.  Then I'll install the new XC front end.

I finally have some noteworthy updates on the build.  Installed the Roll front end, replaced the MX axle with an OEM, swapped out the rear shock, mounted up the wheels....I'm sticking with the old school look.  I'm pretty sure this is the color scheme and I may just run my OEM fenders.  The end is near.  Oh yeah, I'll be running the stock shocks for a while or at least until I get the PEPs rebuilt.
