take the stock dog bone, cut it in the middle and thread the ends, put threaded rod and a couple nuts in it, good to go! cheap route

I cut a stock dogbone and used square tube to extend it. I have 2 holes on the bottom so I can raise and lower it

The dots are roughly where I drilled for a 10mm bolt. I used 5" long tube and lengthened it by an inch. That is plenty for me and I have a second hole to raise it. Works perfect for me.

Thanks Steve. How did you connect the two pieces (weld)?

Oh I think I see. Did you cut it in two and then bolt the metal tubing in the middle? Thanks.

I didn't.  That is what the square tubing is for. I slid it over each end after I cut it in half. Drilled a hole through the tube and dogbone after I had an inch space. I will post a pic of mine on the bike

You can see the other that I use to raise it. With 16" tires it sits 7 inches to the bottom of the skid plate. That is only extended 1"
