Yeah, I just picked up a fmf turbine core to eliminate last years Sparky nonsense.

It needs to be a turbine core like Jessie said, not the older FMF silencer. Basically you can't be able to stick a long tube up the silencer.  You may get a newbe ranger danger and he will use his finger to check. That is always funny to see them burn themselves

What do I need for a silencer? Just like an Fmf spark arrestor?

Jon, you can borrow one from me if you need one.  Its not real pretty but it should do the job.  Its not the quiet version but just a turbine core.  As long as they are not checking sound, it should be fine.

that one will work fine with a regular pipe. It won't pass noise requirements if they check though. I am sure it would not be a good idea to use it with a big bore pipe though.  Thats the one that I would lend you.  I have the "Q" versions also which are supposed to be quieter but they are also a lot longer.

The fmf turbine core works great at SL with average 250r motors. That's what I'll be running this year on my 265
It goes fast over bumps too!

Ive been a handful of times this year and they have not been checking sound levels. Don't worry about that. Just make sure they cant poke a stick through the silencer and you will be fine.

Can't you just take a sharpie and write Spark Arrestor on it?

I ran a SS tub screen in my FMF and usually got in. Sometimes you don't get past with that though.
