Had a good weekend XC racing.  Pulled a good holeshot and had to fight through the dust to get to the #2 spot in a field of 16 A class riders.  Jetting was pretty close all the way through untill the top end where i was very rich, so the bike just wouldnt pull the 6th gear like i needed it to.  Overall very happy with how the bike ran.  Handle great, and the power in the woods was great.  Once in the open area i was able to

Take a few laps and see how dusty it was.  I pass 3rd place at around the 3:40 mark. I make my run on second around the 14:30 mark, and make the pass at 16:00, he let me by, i think he knew he didn't have anything for me.

Man I couldn't deal with that dust. I'd rather have a slop fest than that.

Awesome video regardless

I hate mud.  The dust sucked, because i got cotton mouth about 5 min into the first lap due to breathing in so much dirt.  But still, i hate mud more.

Do you think it might be a good idea for new rings at that point? Guess you'd have to have before/after compression tests

Well ya I see that. But even if there's a little discoloration on the inside of the filter, i'd imagine something got through. Or maybe i'm paranoid

Look at the inner lip of the flange and the coils you can see material stuff as entered the intake tract.

There was dirt in the intake tract when i checked again tonight.  Some did pass.  Im still not worried about it.  Compression is still great.
