My "R" had a 600R motor in it, but when I bought it, it came with no motor. The frame had been modified on both the lower and upper tubes, which was almost ideal for the 350X motor that is in it now. The lower tubes had been dropped ~1.5", the tube between the foot peg mounts, was placed lower, the link mount was moved and shortened, and the left upper tube had been pulled out to accommodate the head. The frame mods had been professionally done and needed no work, but I replaced both upper tubes to ensure that the frame was straight. The frame was cracked in all the usual places (it was a desert racer) and I repaired, fish-plated, and made gussets for all but the swing arm pivot, and front shock tower, which I got from Pumashine. I run a huge oil cooler, using JIC AN fittings and stainless hoses. The swing arm that came with it, was cracked badly, so it was replaced with a +2" Lonestar unit. I run a 400EX header pipe, Supertrapp, and pumper carb. The frame is almost ready for powder coat, I just need to weld in a battery mount and a rear master cylinder reservoir mount and then magnaflux the frame for any hidden cracks. The rear brake pedal was crazy modified, and got replaced with stock. The foot peg mount threads were shaky, so they got 1" long time-serts to return them to factory, or better. TRX450r foot pegs and heel guards finish it off.
