Wow!

This has All the listings with Thread sizes, tapers etc,etc

http://www.moog-suspension-parts.com/Universal_Outer_Tie_Rod_Ends.asp

So for all those looking for Ball Joints for their Aftermarket A-Arms...look no further!

Eg:Look up ES3045RL ....these are common for some using a 16mm x 1.5mm Pitch thread

http://www.moog-suspension-parts.com/proddetail.asp?prod=MOOG-ES3045RL

or ES2074R

http://www.moog-suspension-parts.com/proddetail.asp?prod=MOOG-ES2074R

ES2096R are the ones I used for my Burgards that were M14mm x 1.5 Pitch thread.

http://www.moog-suspension-parts.com/proddetail.asp?prod=MOOG-ES2096R

They're $27ea and they came with a grease fitting

Another 14mmx1.5 is the ES419R

For Lone Star's that use the FRAP brand - look here:

I understand that the threads that go into the a-arms are diff. for the aftermarket arms but the stud taper and thread size are different between those listed. shouldn't that be the same. Just wondering if one of those two you  listed could be wrong. I have Burgard arms and will be looking to get some soon and just want to make sure I get the right ones.

It's been so long now so I cannot remember the exact details but my old lsr standard travel arms needed new ball joints and ended matching it up exactly with an old vw bug part. Just got them from autozone for like $15 each. So I am sure some were in that list there is one for quite a few different applications.

Yes you could use the ES419R from a '68-77 VW Beetle.....but its the stud thread that's different. If you want a M14x1.5 thread for the A-Arm and a 12mm thread for the nut....Use this:

I used the ES419R that I got at autozone for my arms with a 14mm thread 1.5 pitch and they didnt work real well.  The problem I encountered was the 14mm threads were not long enough on the bottom arms for good adjustment.  They were about 1/2 inch shorter than the stock ends I removed making the nut barely get all the way on. There was enough threads on the top A-arm but after adjusting it to match for the bottom there were barely threads left for the nut there either. I red loctite'd just the nuts for a little extra peice of mind but I wont go this route again and Ive also got only about 5 hours of riding and the boots have already ripped.  Steering feels wierd with them too.  It was worth a try for $60 for 4 of them but I wasnt happy with the end result. I think the end needs a slight bend from where the ball joint and the threads begin also. Just figured I chime in with my experience with them.

Thats the problem I have now is that I don't like that the nut is barely threaded on. SO where can you get ball joints that are meant for the 14mm  arms?
