Anyone make fender brackets for Maiers

Let's see those home made brackets for the front fenders.  I'm not paying $50 or a set of OEM fender mounts.  Has anyone made new brackets that run from the frame to the lower front fender mounts?

Just a nut welded to some all thread and a coated clamp with nuts for round frame tube. I've read that welding wire can be bent for a stock frame.

This requires a welder. Mock everything up for a good fit tack it then remove to complete welding. No more limp fenders.

I'm buying a welder....lol.  Nice work.  So it appears we are on our own....no one is actually making this stuff?

Someone should, I doubt I could make money at it.  Those maier two piece fronts need it though.

If anybody can step up and make a set, I'd be in for a set of front lowers as well as I need a set soon.....?

If you want any parts made to weld up these kits just let me know. I would like to make the parts so these fenders work as good as OEM.

I like the rk88r design.  I can't weld...not yet at least!

It's all really basic stuff. I copied maiers "z" brackets and added a 1/2" because I think theirs are too short at least with my 3.6 ims tank. The cross is just 1/2" tubing with tabs on the end. I did slot the tube a little at the z's for a little more weldable surface. The most time consuming part of it was getting the perfect width for the maier hood to lay nice. I'm happy with the performance of mine they weren't meant to be "show grade" though. Anyway Puma stamping out the "z's" with the little bit of twist they have is probably has most need for mass production. If I took the time to make a jig they could be made very quickly.

I think I added over 1" to Jons front brackets that hold the hood up. The supplied hardware in my eyes are junk. All fender makers use cheap mounts that are completely insufficient. I am willing to help make mounting hardware for whatever fenders we will be able to buy in the future. Maier, Fullbore, and Laker just don't give a rats azz what is used to hold them up. I personally talked to Fullbore and Laker. They think the mounting hardware they supply is awesome.

Right now I'm swamped with work. I spent a lot of time mocking this set up, so if I made a jig of them they could be cranked out quite reasonably.

I used a steel rod from ace hardware and just bent some circles on each end to put a bolt through and bent the proper angles needed. Only cost a few bucks and I sprayed them black after and they look great. I can get pics tomorrow.

That would be great.  Looking for ideas.  Agree with Puma that the setup from Maier leaves a lot to be desired.  Seems to me there would be some level of demand for an improved fender mount/brace setup for Maiers.  Maybe even something for the rears.
